In recent years,the automotive industry had developed rapidly,but at the same time,the energy shortages,environment pollution were increasingly more serious.How to realize lightweight under the premise of the parts met the performance,had become the hot topic in the field of automotive parts design.Engine bracket was the connecting parts of the engine and the body,its strength and dynamic performance directly affected the driving safety and comfort. On the basis of referring to relevant literature,topology optimization of engine bracket was realized using ANSYS software,and finite element analysis of the bracket was also realized.The main work and research results are as follows:1) Several classical examples were calculated and analyzed using the topology optimization program of ANSYS software,the results of analysis were consistent with the results in literatures,and indicated the feasibility of the ANSYS topology optimization.2) Topology optimization of the engine bracket had been realized,and the results of optimization had been analyzed.The bracket model had been built and the quality had reduced by53.8%when compared with the original one.3) Finite element analysis of the bracket after topology optimizaiton had been finished. After the static analysis,we can get the cloud distribution of von Mises stress contour and deformation maps etc under four typical working conditions. After modal analysis,we can get the first natural vibration mode and frequence.After fatigue anslysis,we can get the fatigue life.The results showed that all kinds of performance of the engine bracket met the engieering design requirements4) The test results from the National Motor Vehicle Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center(Shanghai) verified that all kinds of performance of the bracket met the requirements,at the same time,it also verified the reliability of the ANSYS anslysis.
