With the rapid development of economy in China, the automobile presents fast growth at moment. The problems such as traffic congestion, traffic accidents and environmental pollution more and more influence on people’s life and social development. In this case, the intelligent technology applied to roads and cars in the Intelligent Transportation System has become an effective way to solve the problems. At present, as the mainline of alleviating congestion, safety operation, energy conservation and emission reduction, and green behavior development, building a new generation of intelligent transport integrated transport management system has become the focus of ITS construction. In recent years, many cities are designing and constructing intelligent bus. But the domestic bus monitoring system is lack of the construction of technical standards and specifications for unified system products. Industry users have adopted different developer products and used in different video compression standard, and transport protocol, so that the intelligent transport system can’t be compatible with related products and equipment, and it is difficult to interconnect into a larger network. This situation results in the slow pace of product promotion and implementation of the project; the telecom operators have the poor substitutability,weak management and high purchase price of equipment. Therefore, how to make use of advanced communication technology combined with industry demand, and determine the unified standards and specifications to obtain traffic data to realize interconnection and interoperability of the subsysteminterface, is the problem that needs to be solved by telecom operators.The present study mainly aimed at the design and the interface of the intelligent transport system based on WCDMA network. It mainly includes the following aspects:1. It introduced the background and significance of intelligent bus system, meanwhile the domestic present situation and disadvantages of intelligent transportation system were analyzed. Through a lot of research work, the transportation system’s demand is analyzed based on customer demand.2. The design scheme of intelligent public transportation system was put forward in the paper, including the network architecture of the system; based on the analysis of all aspects of demands, the realization of the main function and main equipment for the intelligent transport system were put forward together.3. Completed the design of transmission interface standards and actual test results, including the unification of the media data, scheduling and scheme of GPS. It focused on the analysis of interconnection and studied between interfaces I1and B1, and formulating the relevant interface protocol.4. The system performance was tested and the actual route was inspected about the intelligent transport system. It achieved the interconnection of interface I1and B1, and verified the correctness of the interface protocol standard.In this paper, we made full use of the WCDMA network technology to study the unified interface protocol standard and deal with industry standards innovatively. Meanwhile, it improved the efficiency and reliability of data transmission.
