Automobile has changed human's daily life and working significantly since last century. With the development of "the age of automobile", Intelligent Transportation System has become a new question for discussion, attracted more and more academe and automobile manufactories' interest.Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is the development orientation. It is integrate advanced technology of information, technology of electron sensor, technology of control and computer science. Intelligent transportation system is a realtime, precision, efficiency transportation management system. The primary purpose of Intelligent Transportation System is to enhance traffic safety and efficiency. Wireless communication between automobiles is an important way to promote traffic safety. IEEE Work Group set up 802.11p protocol that enables and standardization vehicular communication in 2004, from then on, the researches and applications of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) develop rapidly. This paper describes a wireless communication based on DSR protocol. It is composed of the following parts:Introduce the background of Intelligent Transportation System, including the development and future prospect in China and other country. Describe a wireless based on Ad hoc networks and OSI Reference Model. Introduction and Analysis of Wireless Access Interface. The Analysis and Choice of DSR Routing Protocol. We implement three function: Realtime communication of vehicle driving parameter. Forecast the nearest intersection. Exigent message awakes. From above work, the software can realize the wireless communication dynamicly and in realtime. It has the characteristic of short time-lapse, high efficiency. It can run stably.
