And because of domestic appliance not only constitutes an important part of the modern family lifestyles, but also soundly reflects typical family lives and their culture origins, the study of lifestyles becomes an important research direction of domestic appliance design. In a long term, the research of lifestyle has a benefit for enterprises to create their identity and become well-known.The thesis intends to search the trend of product design based on lifestyle and guides the design of kitchen appliances. This thesis based on the life of kitchen appliances in the form of product design research background, purpose and significance, research lifestyle research in the field of design application status, development trend, as well as the method of general theory, According to study on the lifestyle in customers, the impact of lifestyle on kitchen appliances design is illustrates. From analyzing the relationship between the development of customers’ lifestyle and the trend of designing kitchen appliances, five directions have been predicted. And according to the current economic situation of China, the rich and the poor distribution of user demand and, as a result of the different consumption level, the user can be divided into high-end crowd, midrange crowd and low-end crowd three categories, and through analyzing typical users and their lifestyle scene reappearance, analyzes and sums up the nine representative people, and in light of the characteristics of all kinds of people rectively designed ten electric pressure cooker.
