The huinationality is the most widely distributed said fewer people. Population, its numberis second only to the zhuang and manchu, is my fourth largest nation, is an importantpart of Chinese national family. Hui is formed in a long and complicated process ofnationalities, while the culture of the hui nationality in the largest, the most basic isthe background of the islamic religious culture, but in China, the Confucian cultureunder the background of formation and development up to now, so today huipresents a more special and complicated national features. At the same time, in,under the combined action of two kinds of culture formed during the period ofinheritance and development of hui nationality unique architectural culture today.In this paper, traditional architecture decoration in gansu linxia hui area as anexample, from the typology, this paper based on field investigation method as aresearch, existing in gansu linxia area carried out extensive research of buildingtypes. In linxia hui region of gansu province’s traditional building types, eachcomponent part of the decoration, decoration techniques and decorative material foranalysis, studied the linxia hui’s traditional architectural decoration, and will be inlinxia hui nationality traditional architectural style of generalizations.Gansu linxia hui traditional architectural decoration is one of Chinese traditionalarchitecture decoration project, it gives us a lot of information, is the study of linxiahui region, history, culture and customs are the important archaeological remains. Bystudying the reasons for the formation of linxia hui traditional architecturaldecoration culture, in the protection on the basis of how to make it in today’s rapid development of the society in the inheritance and development is the dominantdirection of thesis research.
