Tibetan Buddhism has a long history and cultural connotation since ancient times.It is a sacred place with strong ethnic culture,distinct religious features,and unique regional culture.Among them,Tibetan Buddhist architecture and architectural decoration art have always been the focus of Tibetan studies because of their unique historical features and values.With the construction of socialist modernization and the country’s further attention and development of the western region,how to better coordinate and handle the relationship between tradition and modernity in the process of accelerating the development of the western region,how to maintain the regional characteristics under the trend of global integration,and how to grasp the cultural heritage in the practice of strategy is not only a problem that should be highly regarded,but also a problem that the research subject faces and urgently needs to be solved.Due to its special geographical location,natural environment and humanistic environment,Tibetan Buddhism makes Tibetan Buddhist architecture not only retain the traditional ethnic characteristics and construction structure of Tibetans,but also absorb the characteristics of the traditional architecture of the Han and other ethnic minorities and become one of the most powerful carriers of cultural heritage.Architectural decoration is the application of decorative artsusing its basic shape elements such as colors,crafts,shapes,materials,contents,and themes to express a complete set of architectural decoration content and profound national cultural connotations.The purpose of this article is to summarize the characteristics of Tibetan Buddhism by studying the architectural decoration,and to illustrate the development of Tibetan Buddhism architectural decoration from the perspective of cultural heritage,and to use this as a basis for the theme creation.The introduction expounds the purpose,significance,background,current situation,methods and framework of the research.The first chapter mainly summarizes the related background of Tibetan Buddhist architecture and Tibetan Buddhist architectural decoration according to the time context,combs the decoration of Tibetan Buddhism architectural details,and summarizes its artistic features.The secondchapter mainly discusses the application and existing problems of Tibetan Buddhism architectural decoration.The third chapter explores the contemporary exploration of architectural decoration using Tibetan Buddhism architectural decoration design as an example to illustrate the research’s value and inherited value of architectural decoration.The development and dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism architectural decoration cannot be separated not only from the temple buildings that have been preserved so far,such as the Ta’er Temple,Debra Temple,Jokhang Temple,Sera Monastery,Drepung Monastery,Longwu Temple,etc,but also the religious art and national cultural works.These Tibetan Buddhist cultural works provide the conditions for the study of this article and leave the valuable information for future research. |
