| With the rapid development of higher education in China, a university campus building boom has happened, and batch after batch of the new campus has been builded. The new design trend meets the goal of the campus master planning and design to a certain extent, besides the university campus environment has been greatly improved. As an important carrier of the university spirit, university campus landscape is gradually developing diversified, personalized, and characteristics trend. At the same time, some of the old campus area facing the challenge which is that the quality of the campus landscape is urgent to improved. The plant landscape of old campus exsit some problems as follows. For example more than beautify aging more than lack of vigor, flat green is more than, less than three-dimensional Green, serious more than lively enough and other issues.Nanjing Agricultural University is located in the beautiful ancient capital of Nanjing, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and has a hundred years of school history. Because it was built earlier, the campus is small in area, with the expansion of the enrollment scale, many buildings occupy a lot of green space, so green area is becoming increasingly narrower. Accordingly, plants landscape is subjected to further transformed and improved.The object of this study is Weigang Campus of Nanjing Agricultural University. In order to get the first-hand information of plant landscape plant, it’s necessary to investigate plant species, seasonal changes, plant communities and the frequency of plant applications in the different functional areas. According to students’ psychological needs and behavioral characteristics, it is to organize different functions and investigate plant landscape.We mainly through the way of interviews and record to get the feelings of the teachers and students on campus plant landscape environment. Combined with plant landscape status and behavioral characteristics, we will follow the guidance of sustainable development and people-oriented, and design guidelines of plants Landscape reconstruction, use the theoretical knowledge of landscape design, landscape ecology, environmental psychology, landscape aesthetics, landscape trees and other theorem, and design and transform plant landscape. So it will accommodate the needs of the growing demand of people on the environment, as well as a world-class agricultural university campus landscape construction of Nanjing Agricultural University in future.In this paper, the main research methods are literature review, field surveys and comprehensive analysis. Combined with many theoretical achievements at home and abroad and field survey data, an objective system is built about transformation design in university campus.
