With the development of our national economy and the improvement of people’sliving standard,the proportion of the energy consumption in architecture is increasing inthe whole energy consumption of the nation. On the other hand, as a developing country,in the process of the high speed economic developing, it is necessary to deal with therelationship between energy and the environment. We should stick to the ScientificOutlook on Development, which refers to "people-oriented, establishing comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development concept, to promote a comprehensiveeconomic, social and human development", to make the full use of resources.With the background of continuously temperature rising, energy lacking andeco-environment deterioration, as one of the most common type of public architecture,the Office building should not meet the demand of consumption at the cost of enormousenergy consumption. In the context of building an ecological society, it should bear thesocial function of energy y saving and emission reduction, as well as realize thefunction as an office building itself.The high energy consumption in per unit area is a common problem in the officebuildings in our country. For the special weather conditions in Chongqing, Thepertinence of energy-saving design is different from others. So researching andanalyzing the train of thought and method suitable for the energy-saving design of officebuildings in Chongqing district is of great importance for the work of energy-saving inour country. This paper took office buildings in Chongqing district as the object of study,analyzed the current situation of energy consumption in office buildings in this area,pointing that there were there reasons for the office building energy consumption: theenclosure structure, the air-conditioner system and the management. On the base oftheoretical analysis of these three reasons, combining with practical projects, it providedreference methods for the office buildings energy-saving in Chongqing district.Conforming to the requirements of energy-saving in architecture, BIM integratesthe process of designing,this model includes massive information of building materials,structures and technologies, i.e. all the components of completing a building. As theconcerning and influencing object of green architectural energy-saving, the BLM, whichis related to BIM, provides a great support for energy-saving analysis.From the perspective of architecture designing, this paper researched theoreticallyand explored practically the application of BIM in CAAD, based on "the usage of BIM in CAAD" as the intermediary of discussion, and the energy-saving in office buildingsas the research direction. At the same time, this paper emphasized on using the CAADenergy-saving designing as examples, and provided useful theories, processes, methodsand technical means for BIM used practically in energy-saving design in architecture, soas to give reference in practical projects.
