Based On The Critical Regionalism Of Combining Mountain City Landscape Design Research

As a result of the impact of the globalization trend of design concepts, themountain city landscape design is facing an unprecedented embarrassment. On the onehand, the blind urbanization left a trail of destruction behind, which caused anembarrassment of “destructive construction” and “constructive destruction”. On theother hand, the inheritance from landscape design pattern of the plain region formed asituation that many cities’ construction styles are similar. From the appearance of themountain landscape we can find that the essence is the extinction of regional culturecharacteristics and spiritual nature.Taking the Critical Regionalism as a guiding theory, this thesis illustrates that weshould look at globalization and regional culture with a critical and dialectic attitude.Aiming at the lack of regional culture and regional characteristics in mountain citylandscape against the background of globalization and the investigation of presentsituation of the mountain city landscape, this thesis analyzes the present situation ofmountain city landscape systematically, finds the mutagenic agents in mountain citylandscape, masters the variables in the urbanization as a whole and resolves the mostcommon problems that exist in the development of mountain city landscape. From theaspects of design concept, design soul, design core, design content, design reappearance,design ecology and design science and based on the Critical Regionalism, this thesisprovides some design strategies for mountain city landscape. Those strategies willvisualize the regional characteristics and urban context and at the same time form anoumenal design study for mountain city landscape. Last but not least, taking thelandscape planning of the Ertang urban square in Nanan District of Chongqing as a case,the thesis wants to seek the contemporary value and significance of design practice ofmountain city landscape which is under the guidance of the Critical Regionalism.By making a comprehensive research on the present situation of mountain citylandscape, the design strategies of mountain city landscape based on the CriticalRegionalism and some concrete practice, the thesis is to find the new ideas of the designof mountain city landscape, enlighten the design practice of the contemporary mountaincity landscape, promote the development of regional culture of mountain city,strengthen the regional characteristics of mountain city landscape and lead the design ofmountain city landscape to a wonderful pattern which mixes the design with culture.
