Through the deepexcavate and show in these historical and cultural, it can better reflect the historical context andgeographical characteristics of the city itself.Changzhou as a famous historical and cultural city in China, more than2000years, thepattern of ancient canal through and around the city, city adjacent to the water, water dependentthe people. Through the research on cultural landscape of the ancient canal Waterfront, Canenhance the historical and cultural protection along the ancient canal, Reveal profoundhistorical background, the ancient canal in Changzhou, and better propagate celebrity culture,folk culture, the national industrial and commercial culture, the traditional religious culture, etc.At the same time, can also promote construction of the garden city, create a suitable residentialenvironment and harmonious living space.This paper is divided into two parts, the first dealing with the concept of the culturallandscape of the canal, by analysis of domestic and international Canal Waterfront design Case,summed up the content and methods of cultural landscape expression of the ancient canalwaterfront. The second part of the paper selected the cultural landscape of ancient ChangzhouCanal as the research object. First through field research and data collection on the Grand Canalin Changzhou, research its historical and cultural resources, summed up the overalldevelopment framework and cultural characteristics of Changzhou ancient canal. Then based onthese characteristics, research the expression of the cultural landscape of each partition of theancient Changzhou Canal, and put forward some suggestions. So I can demonstrate and use themethod of cultural landscape expression of the Grand Canal Waterfront.
