With the rapid development of society, more and more people are travelling byplane. Although the China’s major airports are overcrowded during some annual period,the aircrafts flying over in China were all imported from abroad, in order to seize thelarge market; China needs to develop its own large aircraft. At the same, how to buildthe environment in aircraft cabin gives our HVAC industry a good opportunity to dosomething. The cabin environment is a key factor to ensure the passengers and crew’shealth, comfort and safety. To create a cabin environment, the common method is usingCFD method to carry on the simulation, and to provide evidence for the designing of theaircraft’s environment control system. Currently, there have been nearly50kinds ofcommercial CFD software in the market, but these software are mainly of foreign units,they are expensive, and researchers will be very difficult to input the latest researchresults into the software, therefore, developing our independent CFD simulationsoftware with intellectual property rights have important value of scientific research.The author improved a lot in the teacher’s indoor environment simulation programVORTEX, so that it can better apply to the aircraft cabin environment simulation.First of all, this paper describes the cabin environment and common used airflowmethod in the aircraft cabin.Secondly, introduced the theoretical foundation of the simulation of the indoorenvironment, established the basic control equations combined with the numericalsimulation program and the solving steps of numerical control equations.Third, introduced the function, model and solving method of the indoorenvironment numerical simulation program VORTEX used in this paper.Fourth, improve the paper into the relevant data into the VORTEX interface of thepreprocessing program, and the calculation code was modified to adjust.Finally, we use the modified VORTEX and mature commercial software AIRPAKto carry on the simulation and use the results to verify the accuracy for aircraft cabinsimulation analysis, then, use VORTEX to simulate two kinds of air supply method forthe cabin, analysis of their advantages and disadvantages, a preliminary discussion wasmade for the domestic large aircraft cabin air supply method.
