With the rapid growth of the national economy and the demand for electricity in recent years, the scale of China’s power grid construction continues to expand, and shows the ultrahigh pressure, high capacity and long distance characteristics, the power grid structure and operation is becoming increasingly complex, all levels of the grid is closely linked, a minor fault may lead to security incidents, and even may lead to the emergence of the big blackout, this is extremely detrimental to the social and economic development. So, whether from the status of electric power industry in the entire country and the particularity of power grid itself or from the point of view the adverse effects of incidents involving electricity power to socity, we need to strengthen the power supply enterprise security management. Therefore, how to the prevent and control the accidents in production of electricity advanced, to minimize power production safety risks, reduce the power grid accidents is the problem that many supply companies must face and must to be solved.This paper makes Yantai power supply enterprise as research object to explore how to apply the theory of risk management to the power supply enterprise for the job site. Identification and control of the production security risks of power supply enterprise, risk assessment and performance management are studied as the focus. First the theory of security risk management was elaborated, which included safety management theory and the risk management theory. Then the security risk management project basis was discussed from the perspective of Yantai power production safety risk management status, the main problems, etc. After that, the production safety risk identification system of job site was built and risk control measures were developed. Finally, the Yantai power production safety risk management system was designed and developed.
