The Dong ting Lake is known as "a land flowing with milk and honey" since ancient times. With good natural conditions and excellent geographical location, Dong ting Lake area has become one of the region which has more rapid economic development in our country. Along with the rapid development of economy, the ecological environment in the Dong ting Lake area is facing a severe test. Although the state, provincial, city and county leaders at all levels has increased the environmental management of Dong ting Lake area, but to little effect.
