Process Hazards Analysis On Theragran-G

Theragran-G is one of the major products in Sino-American Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceutical Ltd (SASS),huge casualties or property loss will be caused once severty incident happened during its manufacturing process.For manufacturing process and safety characteristic of Theragtan-G, identification and analysis of major risk sources are conducted in this paper. Based on the identification and analysis, applicable safety assessment method is chosen to evaluate the whole process of Theragtan-G manufacturing. During the study,"What...if..." analysis method is conducted to analyze the potential hazards, the possible consequences through the form presented as group discussion, brain storming, etc... Based on the analysis, the safety precautions or measures to reduce risk are established and implemented into each responsible department. Dust explosion study is developed for the main risk of dust explosion during manufacturing process of Theragtan-G and risk matrix approach is conducted to analyze and assess the risk. Meanwhile, the safety precaustions or measures to reduce risk are established and implemented into each responsible department.The analysis method mentioned in the paper has general applicability and will be available for the safety analysis of the general pharmaceutical manufacturing process.
