Along with the rise of rural tourism and the booming development, greatly enriched the tourists travel way, more tourists went to the countryside, pull the economic development of rural areas. However, at the same time of developing rural tourism and environmental damage caused by problem increasingly prominent.Eighteen Meeting pointed out that ecological civilization construction should be brought into the five for the first time a whole overall layout,environmental problems increasingly brought to the attention of the government, people begin to pay close attention to and discuss a series of environmental problems, the rural environment become a top priority.But if lack of broad response of the local farmers, the farmers’ environment protection consciousness is not strong, participation is not high, so the implementation of these environmental policy is impossible to achieve the desired effect.So how to improve the farmers’ consciousness of environment management, promoting the environment protection behavior of farmers, is an important problem we face, also determines the trend of the development of the rural tourism in the future.Farmers’ consciousness of the environment management is of great importance to the development of rural tourism.As a result, this article selects the outskirts of farmers in rural tourism in xiangxiang as the research object, from the Angle of the farmers’ environment management, combined with the local rural tourism development and the environmental conditions,Through consulting relevant references, using the method of field survey and the interview method, the present situation of the environment management of peasant in the rural tourism were studied systematically.First, summarized the concept of rural tourism,environment management and theory; Then, through interviews with local farmers empirical survey, using SPSS software to statistical analysis of data, discussed rural tourism on the local environment and the influence of residents’ life, and on the basis of empirical research it is concluded that the local farmers’ main problems of environment management:Farmers do not have a high level of education, lack of consciousness of the environment management; The environment maintenance responsibility main body is not clear; Farmers to rural tourism participation is not strong, the lack of awareness and the lack of relevant environment management education propaganda and so on.Finally, in view of the famers in xiangxiang outskirts in the rural tourism is put forward how to strengthen farmers’ consciousness of environment management problems, improving rural ecological environment construction countermeasures and suggestions: Increase the education investment, pay attention to the cultivation of the environment management consciousness; Raising farmers’ participation, enhancing the farmers’ ownership consciousness; Pay more attention to the social atmosphere of the propaganda, constructing ecological environment, Gradually improve the rural environmental protection legal system, and actively promote the law enforcement work.
