Qingdao Hongda textile machinery had developed the new-style carding machine with high-productivity&efficiency. Because combing effect of key components are carding machine’s main working mechanisms and have great significance to improve the efficiency of the card machine. Therefore, our research groups cooperate with Qingdao Hongda textile machinery, the research and analysis on the revolving flat of the new-style carding machine has been carried out.In this paper, new-style carding machine is understood. And overseas and domestic research status of carding machine is summarized. Then based on finite element and kinetic theory, statics and dynamics analysis of revolving flat are carried on. And the numerical simulation is carried on according to the movement of the air flow between the cylinder and revolving flat. This provides the basis for the further research of revolving flat.In static analysis of revolving flat. At first, the flat model by using Pro/E software is built. Then stiffness and strength analysis combined with ANSYS Workbench when flat runs on different position are carried on, obtained the flat’s deformation contour and stress contour and analyzed and evaluated the results. At last, the deformation and stress of the flat throughout the entire work carding process is gained. Therefore, deformation and stress conditions of revolving flat are obtained.In modal analysis of revolving flat. Using Pro/E software the flat system model is established. Then carried on modal analysis of the flat system combined with ANSYS Workbench, extracted the first10-order natural frequencies and mode shapes, analyzed and evaluated the results of modal analysis. Finally, verified the vibration security of revolving flat in the working process.In flow field analysis of cylinder and revolving flat. First of all, on the basis of aerodynamics and combing theory and so on multi-disciplinary professional knowledge, built a mathematic model on airflow movement of the cylinder and flats. The flow field is analyzed with CFD. And then carried on numerical simulation of the flow using the modern computer analysis software ANSYS Workbench, obtained the flow field pressure and velocity distribution between cylinder and flats in the case of different gauge and rotational speed on cylinder and flats. Finally, control of air flow between cylinder and flats is sketched.
