As given clothes, school uniforms are unique cultural form, which could embody the education level, culture, economic development and religion of countries and regions. This thesis studies and compares the origins and cultural features of the development of school uniforms both in China and overseas, on the basis of which, this thesis finds out various problems of school uniforms in China. Besides, this theisi conducts a questionnaire survey on different objects on different level, such as pupils, parents and campus workers. By analysing their cultural, aesthetic and protection needs to school uniforms, this thesis puts forward the neccessities of studing the daily protection design of elementary school uniforms in China. To demonstarte the necessities to implement the daily protection design of elementary school uniforms, this thesis explores the methods of designing elementary school uniforms on daily protection on the basis of suggestions from pupils and people from all walks of life. Besids, This thesis puts forward the style and colour design, fabric choice, related apparel accessory and design views of special protective elementary school uniforms. At last, this thesis anylises the development trends of protective school uniforems in our country:raise the social awareness of the secure of school uniforms; foster brand consciousness of our local school uniforms and raise the quality of school uniforms. Through all of these, the author hope that this thesis could provide valuable suggestions to the innovative design of elementary school uniforms, and the culture of school uniforms could flourish in the tide of socialist economic development.
