| In recent years, the soaring oil price due to the sharply increasing demand has made itvery difficult to get profit for refining enterprises. One of the most important ways to improvecompetitiveness for the refining enterprises is to carry out the optimization of productionplanning and execution.Based on the crude oil assay and refining process, current production planning andexecution techniques have been analyzed. In particular, the crude oil production methods and itsmain units in Beihai refinery have been illustrated.During the use of PIMS in Beihai refinery, we find that there are always deviationsbetween the calculation results based on PIMS and the actual production results. We deduce it isbecause the defect of PIMS, that the software can’t reflect changes in product composition yielddue to different feedstock properties and operating conditions. So we introduce other software,Petro-SIM, which is process simulation software to cooperate with PIMS for solving thisproblem. And this makes the production planning optimization more scientific and reasonable.However, how to implement the plan perfectly is another big problem, since lots ofobjective factors will hinder achieving the expected goals. So in the implementation level, wedevelop crude oil blending management system based on the technique of crude oil quick assayand advanced control system. As a result, we solve the problem of plan execution much better.Real practice in BeiHai refinery has proved that the advanced information and managementtechnology mentioned above can help to make up for each other’s shortcomings, and improve theoptimization of production planning and execution a lot. Finally, we also discuss the prospect ofrelative technologies and present some suggestions to improve the application in the future. |
