With the continuous improvement and development of the comprehensive mechanization technology in production of coal mine in China, mine reducers as main transmissions in many coal machine equipments underground are becoming more and more widely. The reliability of its working performance will directly affect the entire coal machine equipment and even the whole mine working face safety and productivity. So the research and development work for the performance and structure of the mine reducer is more and more important, But many of its structural similarity and complexity create unnecessary repetitive and tedious work to the designer, has a direct impact on new product development time. Until now most of mine reducer production and manufacturing enterprises inland, Still use some inefficient and cumbersome ways for product design, such as rely on empirical formula, find the manual, repeated drawing and so on. So using the technology of second development on the platform of CAD software of mine reducer parametric design system has a certain important significance, when we facing the problems of how to shorten the design cycle for mine reducer and how to improve the design efficiency.This article make a summarize to research on parametric design technology and CAD secondary development technology and mine reducers of domestic and foreign. Then it make sure the system function module and the overall framework for the development, according to the software and system development principles, based on detailed analysis of requirement reducer system on the function of the mine. Then we realize mine reducer parametric design system with the user and the model file data information management, commonly used parametric modeling, standard parts and accessories Library directly call, mine reducer virtual automatic assembling four functional modules of integrated, according to the function modules of the system, based on UGNX platform, using UG with UG/Open, VC++6.0and other development tools, based on C/S (client/service layer) development method of system model.The system has a good man-machine interface, according to the design requirements, designer can conveniently, fast, efficiently complete the job of mine reducer parts rapid modeling, assembly, system management etc.
