Hydraulic support is an important part of the fully-mechanized mining equipment and its main role is to control the roof and provide working space for the coal miners. The safe and reliable operation of hydraulic support would directly affect the normal coal production and the safety of coal miners. However, when should hydraulic support be overhauled or scrapped has been a problem for Coal Company. If the hydraulic support is overhauled or scrapped prematurely, it would be a waste of human and material resources, while if too late, it would directly affect the safety of the coal miners. Therefore, the judgement of remaining lifetime of the hydraulic support has the great scientific significance and economic benefits.The thesis firstly introduced the technology of hydraulic support and its development as well as the basic theory of fatigue lifetime analysis. Secondly, it analyzed the data collected from the32206working face roof pressure in Bulianta mine. Thirdly, it established of the three-dimensional model of ZY10800/28/63hydraulic support with simplified precondition to prepare for the following finite element analysis and taked the subject of hydraulic support structure to simplify in plane and collecte by plane statics analysis on the basis of data. Fourthly, it carried out the finite element analysis on the simplified three-dimensional model of hydraulic support and getted the biggest stress points and the maximum hydraulic support structural deformation loading conditions on the results of calculation. Then it carried out the finite element analysis on the simplified three-dimensional model of hydraulic support and achieve fatigue life of cloud and to forecast the cycles.Finally it analyzed the structure and compare the actual usage and verified the feasibility of this method.The results of the study is generally consistent with the actual use of hydraulic support, thus it demonstrated the feasibility of the finite element method analysing the fatigue lifetime of the hydraulic support’s structural parts. This study provided the theoretical basis for the future judgment of fatigue lifetime of the hydraulic support’s structural parts for Shendong mine.
