With the development of stone processing industry and the improvement of material culture life, people’s criteria and demand toward the processing quality and art appearance of stone products are more and more high. Special custom service gradually becomes the trend of stone processing industry. The amount of the irregular stone products, especially the stone products with complicated surface, continually increase. According to the current situation of stone product industry, stone products with simple shape are manufactured by machine, but it is very difficult for complicated products. Therefore, enriching the processing method and improving the machining capability is necessary.In the field of machinofacture, Five-axis linkage machining technology (FLMT), which is the most advanced technology, is very mature in metal manufacturing industry. However, in contrary, it’s new in stone machining. Its machining superiority, fixing one time can complete dual process, is high machining precision. If applying it in irregular stone machining, the working environment and machining method must be enriched, the capability of manufacture must be improved. The research of this thesis mainly include:complicated stone product creation, NC processing technic, post build and machining, etc, aiming to obtain good qualified stone products.The basis of FLMT is data model. So the first mission is to create model, which without it tool path can not be programmed. In the thesis, the theory of complicated model is studied, and stereoscopic portrait and maitreya model are created through reverse engineering.In the processing of machining, tool center point position is greatly affected by angle error in tool axis rotating because the distance between tool center and tool axis rotating center is very long. In this thesis, in order to master the change rule of angle error, actual measurement of angle error in constant angle region is done. Then the curve of these angle error data and its polynomial are got. Finally, plus the angle error with the theoretical angle, and measure the position of the tool center again. The result show that this method decreasing the angle error. To check it, an example have been taken. From the machining result, practical model is equal to the simulated model.Aiming at multifunction Irregular Stone Turning-milling Compound Machining Center HTM50200, special post-processing algorithm fitting for it is designed based on its structural features and kinematics relationship of its each function modules. To avoid abrupt change of rotation angle efficiently, when cutting tool rotate continually, planning rotation angle reasonably by five-quadrant is adopted.The special post-processing program of HTM50200is writed by using object-oriented programming technology, and NC program satisfied MC is obtained by processing cutter location information in CLSF with special post-processing above. The result shows that the post-processing algorithm is correct and feasible by verifing the NC program in the computer and cutting by MC HTM50200.
