An Ethnobotanical Study Of Yao Nationality In Guangxi

This study applied the ethnobotanical method, taking Chang Long village, Nanping Township, Shangsi County as an example, making systematic investigation on traditional medicine plant resources, dyeing plants and edible plants of local Yao, collecting folk prescriptions of the Yao. Using grade ranking method to assessment and screen out the plants with the development potential. And discuss how to plant and exploit traditional medicine plants, edible plants and dyeing plants of the Yao nationality in the modern society, and puts forward Suggestions for the sustainable utilization of the resources, the results are as follows:(1) This paper makes an ethnobotanical cataloging of81families and176species of plants (including81families and156species of medicinal plants resources,5families and7species of dyeing plants,13families and13species of edible plants, a total of12prescriptions), including Latin name, the name, medicinal parts, usage, etc.(2) Concluding that the Yao nationality has four characteristics on naming plants:①With the help of Chinese to name plants.②According to the form and application to name the plants.③According to the efficacy to name the plants.④The same medicine with different names, and the same name with different medicine.(3) The diagnosis and treatment caracteristics of medicinal plants and the Yao nationality doctors.①17species of medicinal plants are the folk wisdom "wu hu","jiu niu","shi ba zuan","qi shi er feng", which are the basic medicine material. Respectively are "hong mao niu"-Parabarium huaitingii of apocynaceae,"jiu long zuan"-Bauhinia championii Benth of Caesalpiniaceae,"shuang gou zuan"-Uncaria tomentosa of Rubiaceae,"tong zuan"-Mappianthus iodoies of Icacinaceae and other medicinal plants, for short "yi niu san zuan shi san feng".②According to the Yao’s profit and loss balance theory system, medicinal plants were divided into49kinds of "da";57kinds of "feng" drugs;50kinds of other drugs,"da" and "feng" a total of106kinds of drugs, the proportion reached67.95%.③Treatment in addition to combined with drugs that to be taken orally, also use needle bloodletting, shiatsu, moxibustion, moxibustion bone, fire needle, etc.(4)13kinds of edible plants can fresh eat, soup, Fried, and for the spices. The local eating habit is to combine10kinds of edible plants with meat to cook soup. Seven kinds of dyeing plants, only four plants are inherited, the processing technology of the three kinds of dyeing plants are lost.(5) Collected12medicinal prescription of the Yao nationality, the12th prescription dispensing is witnessed and recorded the whole process of treatment, other prescription only collected and recorded during surveying, without the basis of validation.(6)Using grade ranking method to assessment and screen out (Eupatorium heterophyllum DC) and (Russula vinosa) have high edible value and the field domestication culturing potential.(Pittosporum balansae),(Neyraudia reynaudiana),(Cissus pteroclada) and other10kinds of plants has high medical value and development potential.
