| Sarcophaga Meigen belongs to the Sarcophgidae of Diptera. It is one of themegadiverse genera of true flies, and divided into about160subgenera, withapproximate850valid species all over the world.In this article, author identified more than500Sarcophaga specimens whichwere collected from the different provinces or autonomous regions in China,systematically studied the species and geographical distributions of Sarcophaga,described three new species which were all collected from Yunnan Province, namedSarcophaga (Heteronychia) sp. nov.1, Sarcophaga (Heteronychia) sp. nov.2, andSarcophaga (Liosarcophaga) sp. nov.3. Basing on the Sarcophgidae classificationsystem proposed by Pape in1996, there are165species (including3new species) of48subgenera of Sarcophaga in China, they are as follows: Sub. Ziminisca,1.The type species and identification characters of48subgenera, and the type locationsand geographical distributions of165species are all given. Besides, the geographicaldistribution characters of Sarcophaga species in China are analysed.The whole article contains about44,000words,13figures,3tables,97references and the english annotations of three new species.
