The Land Use/Cover Change And Land Use Efficiency Evaluation Of Tianjing Based On GIS

Land is the indispensable material basis to human survival and development. It is thefoundation of all the other resources development and utilization for the people. Theconnection with human survival and social development is intimate. In recent years, with therapid development of social economy, the problems of population growth, natural resourcesand environmental problems are intensified. The land resources are growing tension. The landproblems have begun seriously affect people’s lives and production and the sustainabledevelopment of the society. Today, population, resource and environmental problems becomeincreasingly. The land problem has become an important research direction and core theme ofthe current global change research. Therefore, it is important to understand Land use/coverchange process and rule. On this basis to assess the efficiency of land use, to ensure therational development and utilization of land resources have important significance for socialand economic sustainable healthy development.It chooses Tianjin as the study area which is located in the economic zone along theBaihai. First, it reviews the Land use/cover change research both at home and abroad, andintroduces the purpose of this study, content, research method and technical route. On thebasis of the natural conditions and social economic conditions change of Tianjin in recent10years, the interpretation and classification of the three remote sensing images, which is inAugust2000, in August2006and in July2010, are done based on GIS. Combining withrelevant land data of Tianjin from2000to2010, it uses the dynamic of land use, land usedegree and transfer matrix to analyses the Land use/cover change process. Results are asfollows:(1) After the remote sensing image preprocessing, it uses the method that supervisedclassification and supervised classification combined to get the figure of land use types ofTianjin, and it also gets the land information.(2) From2000to2000, the land use degree ofTianjin improved from293.3to293.3, the overall upward trend is obvious. All kinds of landuse area all have different change. The main trend is the expanding of construction land andthe reduction of cultivated land.(3) During the period of study, the various land use types arein mutual transfer. The main direction is the cultivated land, grass land, salt, water and unusedland all transfers to construction land transfer.(4) In the background that the characteristicsof Land use/cover change, the land use efficiency evaluation system of Tianjin is establishedand it used to evaluate the land use efficiency of Tianjin. According to the results of the evaluation, it shows that the main factor to influence on the Land use efficiency of Tianjin isthe economic factor, the second is the social factors and the smallest impact factor is theecological environment factor, the comprehensive weights are0.4485,0.2925and0.2952respectively.
