The Meteorological Disaster Risk Assessment And Management

Economic losses caused by weather disasters are the most of all the natural disasters. Because it is that the weather disasters is multiple causes, systemic, social amplification, unforeseen and urgent, it is incalculable to the economic losses caused by whether disasters to the human society. It is important to the meteorological disaster risk assessment and management, but so far, we have no idea to universal utility, system of meteorological disaster risk assessment and management theory. In China, the work of meteorological disaster risk evaluation and management began in the1950of the20th century, and mainly focus on some major disasters such as floods, droughts species, against an index of other disasters, such as typhoons, hurricanes. This article uses the method of case analysis, summarizing some contents about meteorological disaster risk assessment and management, to hope perfecting the research in this field.This article is divided into6parts. Part I contains the problem and the purpose and significance of this study; Part II is the theories and frameworks of the meteorological disaster risk assessment and management. First introduced the literature review related the concept of meteorological disaster risk assessment and management, and then introduced the related theoretical basis of meteorological disaster risk assessment and management, including related factors and main research methods; Part III is the current situation and prospects of the meteorological disaster risk assessment and management in China; Part IV first gave four cases of meteorological disaster risk assessment and management at home and abroad, and then conducted a comparative analysis on these four cases; Part V is based on a comparative case study of results, that main model of meteorological disaster risk assessment and management in China, including the main models of risk assessment and the strategies of risk management, as well as the path with policies of China Meteorological disaster evaluation and management; The last part is the development and prospects for further research on this article.
