China is one of the countries having most frequent Debris Flow in the world.This kind of geological hazard often breaks out suddenly and causes large damages,serious threating to local residents personal and property safety. So, researching andpreventing Debris Flow, the development of effective disaster prevention andmitigation measures will be particularly important.The research object is located at Qinghai Jiegu Township,Yushu county,Qinghai Province。In1987and2003it happened debris flows,at present, in thisregion there are still nearly five thousands of people affected by mudslides. Byanalyzing this exploration area in terms of material origination, landformcharacteristics,geological tectonic structures and hydrometeorological condition,combining the debris flows eigenvalue and the hydromechanical characteristics,thede MengZong clough debris flow formation mechanism is in discussion in depth。Through the research,we consider the MengZong clough debris flow is a typicalrheumy debris flow clough,and its volume-weight is16.60KN∕m3,its severe meanis15.92KN/m3,its maximum flow is78.3m3/s,its peak velocity value is4.14m/s,the overall impact pressure is0.98kPa.In this paper,based on the predicted and zoned the degree of debris flow hazard,according to the estimated of development trend of debris flow, The thecombination of dam and drainage control scheme is fomulated.For stable blockprovenance and peak flow reduction,8dam layout was arranged in downstream,main trench of MengZong clough.In order to ensure the dam can bescientific,weaken the debris flow hazards effectively. Dam site selection, storage,load and the stability of the dam is designed.In order to dam or debris flow materialsmoothly into the main river.Drainage canal built in the low dam at the circulation accumulation zone,Finally,in order to meet the requirements of the municipal drainage engineering, the localadjustment was designed.Green belt project is designed in the restoration area properly.After Theimplementation of the scheme, debris flow problems will fundamentally be solved inMengZong clough,At the same time, this article research results can providereference for other debris flow prevention and control.
