Landscape changes are the results and performances of the inner or outer landscape conflicts, and landscape change is the transition process from one landscape to the other. Thus every landscape is one part of the process in the landscape change. The dynamic process of the landscape changes is based on the inner structure of the landscape and the outer forces, which are thrown on the landscape. The analysis of the landscape structure and its function is the basis of the dynamic characteristics and the trend of the evolution. Therefore, analyzing the landscape structure and its function at the different intervals, with the help of the regional nature and social environment, we can find out the factors and the mechanism of landscape change, which can supply the reference for utilizing the landscape properly for us to adjust the behavior and intensity of the human activities.According to the ETM+ images of the Landsat 7, with the data from the hydrology and meteorology monitoring station nearby the studying region, and the statistical yearbooks of Inner Mongolia municipality and the annuals of the Duolun County, the status quo of the two phases was analyzed in this paper. The dynamic features of the landscape changes were also discussed by analyzing the remote sensing images and the factors of change based on the canonical correlation analysis. From the discussion above, the conclusions were drawn as followed:(1) The bare land eco-system and the grass eco-system are the most obvious changes in the regional landscape of the sub-arid temperate zone. And the cultivated land eco-system and the town eco-system less changed. The water eco-system and the forest eco-system changed least.(2) The landscape changes are remarkable in the sub-arid temperate zone, the important value of the landscape patches which has been changed is 11.6%.(3) The interior causes of the landscape changes are the natural structure and the natural process, such as the wind erosion process and the water erosion process. The exterior causes of the landscape changes include the human activity, accumulative temperature ( 10C), the arid degree and the velocity of wind, etc.(4) The human disturbances had the effects on the natural process and then influenced the landscape changes indirectly, especially in the undeveloped, uncultured in the mode of the production district. The human disturbances affect the landscape changes more indirectly, and the aftereffect is inconspicuous.
