In the history of porcelain development, the porcelain industry has beenclassified into the official kiln and the folk kiln since Song Dynasty. However,it was after Ming Dynasty that the imperial kiln was established in Jingdezhen.Official kilns in Ming and Qing Dynasties reached to the peak of China sporcelain industry, and also had a vital influence on it, making Jingdezhen theporcelain-making center nationwide and even worldwide, which lay aprofound foundation for the current porcelain industry in China. Researcheson the policies of official kilns in Ming and Qing Dynasties and theinteraction between it and folk kilns enable us to penetrate the society,economy,politics, thoughts and technical development at that time. Besides,more experience from it will provide better references for today s porcelainindustry. Therefore, with the help of multi-angle research methods, the paperdiscusses the influence of the system of Jingdezhen s official kilns in Mingand Qing Dynasties on the porcelain development in Jingdezhen, which hasimportant implications for a better understanding of the re lationship betweenthe official kilns system and its connection with folk kilns.Chapter One and Chapter Two mainly introduce the definition of officialkilns and the development of it in the past ages. Based on some relevantscholars researches and findings, this part provides an illustration of thesuperior porcelain resources in Jingdezhen, an overview of Jingdezhenporcelain making before Ming Dynasty and the social background under theeconomic system. Moreover, the present research situation and thesignificance of this research will follows.Chapter Three profoundly discusses the various systems of Jingdezhen simperial kilns in Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as the settings and categoriesof official kilns, the source of its producing finance, syste ms of pattern andtexture designs, systems of the supervisal officials of porcelain-making,artists cadastre system, the normal examination of products, transportationand processing systems, etc. Meanwhile, this part provides a comparativestudy on the official kilns formation and evolution rules in Ming and QingDynasties respectively.Chapter Four illustrates that the official kilns and folk kilns wereinterdependent and mutually reinforcing in Ming and Qing Dynasties by contrasting the real objects and consulting references based on documentarysources.Chapter Five: combined with the current situation of our porcelainindustry and problems, the part presents a basic analysis on the preciousexperience of official kilns systems in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Chapter Six: Conclusion.
