As a kind of important C4compound, succinic acid can be used in many fields such as medicine, food, chemical and so on. Succinic acid producing bacteria were used to do solid fermentation of brewer’s grains which can not only improve it’s utilization value but also get protein feed. As the raw material is inexpensive, process is simple, conditions are easy to control, so it’s for suitable the industrial production of brewer’s grains protein feed. Conditions of fermentation were optimized in order to raise the yield of succinic acid and the protein content of brewer’s grains protein feed.I studied the produce acid fermentation of mutation breeding MSCo-24.The fermentation of fungus in liquid medium was firstly studied. I confirmed the composition of optimal culture concentration and fermentation condition. I got the yield of succinic acid with133mg/L.Due to the low productivity of succinic acid in liquid fermentation, I further studied the solid fermentation of succinic acid and obtained1.37g/L of succinic acid.Finally, I studied the application of MSCo-24in the solid fermentation of brewer’s grains protein feed. The optimum ratio solid medium is70%of brewer’s grain,17%of bran,10%of corn meal.3%of (NH4)2SO4. The optimal fermentation condition is7.5%of inoculum potential and the ratio of material to water is1:3. The result indicated that the crude protein content increased from15.00%to34.72%and succinic acid is26.92g/kg. The contents of both crude protein of feed and succinic acid can be increased by fermenting brewer’s grains through MSCo-24.
