Based on the methods and theories of landscape ecology, the article has studied the safe pattern of landscape ecology in NingWu country by using3S technology. On the basis of analyzing the structure of patch types and landscape by chosen relative landscape indexes, the research has set up the safe landscape pattern of NingWu county and have done the planning of the ecological security area in reason of ecology through to apply theories of safe pattern of landscape ecology and building the minimum cumulative resistance for maintaining the important conservation district and protecting species diversity. The main findings are as follow:(1)Whole County has24landscape types. The wild grass ground forest land and dry farm are the primary landscape types in which the forest land is the landscape’s matrix. They accounted for33.4%,26.4%and26%respectively of the total area of the county. The area of other landscape types is smaller and many landscape types accounted for less than1%.(2)In total, the county’s Aggregate Index, Division Index and Dominant Index are93.84,1.62and1.56.The spatial difference between the eastern and western is huge. The western is mainly forest land. Its aggregative degree is high and its diversity and fragmentation degree are low. The eastern are mostly wild grass ground and dry farm. Its dominant degree is low and its landscape richness degree and fragmentation degree are high.(3)Which the terrain of the study area is from west to east leads limited conditions to show difference such as temperature, rainfall and slope and so on. It is the cause to form spatial difference between the eastern and the western. The landscape is fragmented and separated by the human activities mainly. The towns and villages are mostly sited in the mid-eastern and the industries especially coal mining are mainly sited in northeast and central part which are YangFangKou, XueJiaWa, DongZai and FengHuang towns in NingWu county. For which have been suffering deeply the influence exerted by human actives, the division degree and separated degree in these places are high. While as the police reason and thinly population, the western which is mostly natural protection area of GuanCen Mountain has low the division degree and separated degree.(4)The research has chosen three places which some of are sited in natural protection area of GuanCen Mountain and the others has important ecological signification as the "source". They are the conservation zone of the Crossoptilon mantchuricum and the tourist spot of HeYePing, the source area of FengHe and the Mountain Tianchi. The land-use types, landform and slope have been chosen as the factor of resistance. Their weights are0.5,0.2and0.3. Based on the MCR(minimum cumulative resistance) model of per factor respectively structured by using Spatial analyst of ARCGIS, the study has build the MCR of the total county according to composite the factor’s MCR by it’s weight. To analyze the MCR of the whole county, the paper distinguishes the important pattern of landscape such as buffer zone, ecological corridor, radiating routes and strategic point.(5)The study has defined the MCR’s threshold value by differentiated the diagram of the distance form the source-Resistance level and the area-resistance level. According the MCR’s threshold value, the paper divided the three grade of SP(safe pattern:High SP(high biodiversity and steady ecological system), middle SP(lower biodiversity and lower steady ecological system) and low SP(lack of biodiversity and frail ecological system).The county’s future road is maintaining the high SP area in the western, improving the middle SP area in middle part and administering the low SP area in northeast.
