Outdoor tourism is a new type of outdoor activity. It gradually develops into a burgeoning tourism industry trend, which plays an important role in the China’s economic development.There is a great potential in the outdoor tourism market of Hebei province, but we don’t have enough research on the tourism industry in Hebei province, and even in the whole country. Therefore, we shouldn’t only stay in theory, but also learn the advanced experience from developed countries to improve our outdoor tourism research level, which contributes to the development of outdoor tourism in Hebei province and the whole country a lot. Based on the development of outdoor tourism at home and abroad, as well as the analysis of current situation, I state the features of outdoor tourism and advantages on development, analyze the present situation of our tourism development, investigate our outdoor tourism market and point out the advantages and problems concerning our outdoor tourism development. In view of the above research, I put forward the necessity, guiding theory, practical methods and so on. At present, China pays little attention to academic study on outdoor tourism.I try to make entire analysis and research on the whole system of outdoor tourism, perfect outdoor tourism concept, analyze the present development situation around the world, find out the advantages of tourism development in Hebei province, and put forward the guiding theory, principles and detailed measures. I want to enrich the tourism theory, extend the content of tourism, promote product innovation, develop a new form of tourism, and inject fresh blood into the tourism development of Hebei province. I hope through these above statements, I can provide reference for outdoor tourism development and contribute to outdoor tourism research.
