Abstract/Summary:
Along with the development of modern logistics, warehousing is always recognized as a focusing emphasis anddefined as a key operational point of logistics by both theorists and practitioners. And its quality and efficiency can reflect the management level of a logistic company in a certain degree. On the one hand, under the economy continuous blooming circumstance, the modern logistic company has been experiencing a development by leaps and bounds; on the other hand, suffering from a more and more heavier cost control pressure with higher and higher required service level, the warehousing process optimization should be impelled by logistic company to increase the operation efficiency, cut the cost, optimize the process, and change the low level warehousing management style. So Company can upgrade its enterprise management level and strengthen its competitiveness.Through the angle of lean logistic management, the article adoptsmethods like literature study, questionnaire survey, expert interviews, to analyze the logistics operation management and the current situation of operation process in depth. And the article discovers several problems existing in A company:such as, the operation management levels difference in different subordinate unitswith a large gap;existing operation process lack of comprehensive;the operation efficiency and cost control ability is comparative weak;operation resource configuration lack of quantitative standard;short of facility management procedure and other problems in process aspect. Aiming at above problems, the article use theories of lean logistic and logistic operation process optimization, adopting methods like key success factors, theory of constraints and cost analysis, to raise several optimization strategies focusing on current warehousing operation management of A company. The first strategy is to optimize the on-site operation process. By categorizing the process module according to the operation segment, the warehouse on-site process can be directlyseparated into receiving process, picking process, issuing process and counting process with its flow charts. The second strategy is to draw up administration, safety, facility and other management process system, to let the process management to be more comprehensive in each operation sector. The third strategy is to establish the personnel and facility configurationstandardization and efficiency and cost control standardization, to optimize the organization structure of distribution center, in order to enhance efficiency and cost control. The fourth strategy is to set up the promotion guideline and standardizationverification and validation guideline of optimized process, to guide and supervise each operation part practice the standardized process firmly. Ultimately, A Company’s warehousing management standardization pattern is established and fulfilledthorough this series of optimization and re-engineering.The implementation of warehousing standardized management and control pattern and standardization promotion guidelines assist A logistic company upgrading its warehousing operation management level, basically fulfills A company’s warehousing operation system establishment, increases its operation efficiency in distribution center, advances frontline manager’s control ability in resource configuration and cost efficiency control, upgrades transparency level of company management. Also, the implementation boosts brand awareness and ensures a robust and sustainable development for A company. Last but not least, the successful implementation of warehousing standardization process system in A company will raise a valuable prototype in practicing warehousing standardization management in China logistic industry.
