Research On The Relationship Of Uncertain Environment, W2C And Innovation Performance

Lacocca once said “no innovation, no live”. The importance of innovation canhardly be emphasized no matter too much. Many Chinese experts would like todefine technology innovation as Self-innovation.Chinese economy is in a specialperied, in which there are full of opportunities and challenges. If China want to winthe development initiative in the fierce international competition, the key is toimprove the innovation capability. Self-innovation is importent choice of Chinanational strategic orientation, and organizations is the main body of technologicalinnovation.With the coming time of the knowledge economy, the organizationsenvironment become uncertainty, more and more organizations fell hard to clearlydifferentiate and effective control the uncertain environment. In such an environment,innovation is the key to success. Innovation is the specific tools of entrepreneurs,they need to consciously find the source of innovation, we need to form strongwillingness to cannibalize to innovate and make sure that the organizations to keeptheir sustainable competitive advantage.Based on the review of the related literture research, this paper define theconcept of willingness to cannibalize (W2C), uncertain environment and innovationperformance, and than establishes a model of W2C, uncertain environment andinnovation performance. Adopt questionnaire way, this paper gets171valid datefrom different firms. Through the SPSS software, the paper applied factor analysis,correlation analysis and linear regression analysis to test theoretical model andhypothesis, and draw the following conclusion:(1) Two of three dimension of W2C——Capabilities W2C and routines W2Chave positive association with innovation performance,but resources W2C has anegative association with innovation performance.(2) Environment menace and environment dynamic have positive associationwith innovation performance, but environment complexity don’t have associationwith innovation performance. (3) Environment dynamic positively moderate the effect of resources W2C andinnovation performance, while environment menace negatively moderate the effectof resources W2C and innovation performance.The research results of the paper can be of some help for companies in ourcountries to cannibalize their resources, capabilities and routines in order to promoteinnovation performance.
