Study On The Relationship Between The Industrial Cluster Enterprise’s Social Capital And Innovation Performance

With the complementary development of economic globalization and regionalintegration, Industrial cluster which is a special spatial organization form has graduallybecome an important carrier for technical innovation and competitiveness improvement ofregions and enterprises. But currently most of the cluster is still in the low end of the globalindustrial chain and value chain. The cluster enterprises lack the cooperation on thetechnology, market and management. What’s more, the enterprise’s technology innovationability is low. Based on this, we choice the cluster enterprise’s social capital (The verticalrelation capital, the horizontal relation capital, the social relation capital) as independentvariables, choice knowledge acquisition as moderating variable, choice innovationperformance as dependent variable, and conduct the theoretical and empirical analysisbetween the cluster enterprise’s social capital, knowledge acquisition and innovationperformance impact which may have ways to influence each other.In this paper, we choice the cluster enterprises in Suzhou as the research object, andwithdraw186valid questionnaires by using the survey methods. Then we use SPASS19.0in statistical analysis and conclude the following basic conclusions:(1)The cluster enterprise’s external social capital has significant positive impact onthe innovation performance: The vertical relation capital has the most significant influenceon innovation performance, the horizontal relation capital has less significant influence,and the social relation capital has the least influence. However, the internal social capitalhas no significant impact on the innovation performance.(2)The cluster enterprise’s external social capital has significant positive impact onthe knowledge acquisition: The vertical relation capital has the most significant influenceon knowledge acquisition, the horizontal relation capital has less significant influence, andthe social relation capital has the least influence. However, the internal social capital has significant negative impact on the knowledge acquisition.(3)The cluster enterprise’s knowledge acquisition has significant positive impact onthe innovation performance.(4)Knowledge acquisition has a partial mediating effect between the vertical relationcapital、the horizontal relation capital、the social relation capital and the innovationperformance.Finally, based on the conclusions and the current situation of Suzhou industrial cluster,the paper gives some management recommendations about how to improve the innovationperformance of Suzhou cluster enterprises. What’s more, the paper point out the limitationsof this study and prospect for future research.
