The Study Of The Relationship Of Social Capital And Innovation Performance In Industrial Cluster

Under the economical globalization tendency impetus and facing the competition of intense international market, industrial clusters play important role in improving the competition capacity of region or nation. With the new technical revolution advancement and the industrial specialization, the competitive advantage of industrial clusters is changing from the industrial convergence to the innovation advantage. It is important for the further development of industrial clusters in our country to enhance the ability of technical innovation and cultivate the competitive advantage of clusters.In industrial clusters, it is possible to effectively develop many kinds of cooperation and exchange between enterprises or enterprises and other organizations, and to strengthen the trust relations in both sides. Therefore, industrial clusters can come into being and accumulate massive social capital by the way of its own factors such as close network relations and geographical centralization. In the era of current knowledge economy, the technical innovation is open and non-linear active process. The technical innovation development emphasizes much more interaction between the innovation main body and in the outside as well as the various departments’ correlation in the innovation main body itself.According to the theory of cluster, social capital and innovation, this paper divides the cluster social capital into enterprise social capital and regional social capital, analyzes impact mechanism of knowledge absorptive capacity in the process and thus constructs the impact mechanism model of cluster social capital on innovation performance with absorptive capacity as the intermediary variable by theoretical analysis, with then hypnosis and then uses the reliability analysis, validity analysis, structural equation modeling analysis to statistical analyzes the sample data from shanghai international automobile city. The empirical results show that:the scales have good levels of reliability and validity; the cluster enterprise social capital has significant impact on innovation performance; absorptive capacity is the intermediary variable of the influence of social capital on innovation performance; absorptive capacity has two dimensions which affects each other.Based on the results, this paper proposes some management recommendations as follows:improve the communication and cooperation between the enterprises and institutions; accelerate the cluster region’s cultural environment construction; improve the enterprise’s absorptive capacity.
