Foreign retail corporations, having invested more capitals into ourcountry retail market since internal retail market’s totally opening in2004,bring sorts of Operation Principles, methods and different new-styleretailing formats, meanwhile, our country’s retailing formats havechanged a lot: retailing formats tending to be diversified, traditionalretailing formats transforming, new-style retailing formats emerging inlarge numbers, and big differences at profitability, market shares,development speed etc. among different retailing formats. Whether theinput of foreign capital will affect the development of our country’sretailing formats or not, and which effects if any, attracts social attentionsmore and more.This passage analyzes these questions systematically. Based ontotally knowing Concepts, theories related to retailing formats, factors toaffect the development of retailing formats and the current situation ofretailing formats, this passage has studied in terms of theory the effect toour country’s retailing formats as the foreign capital bursts into ourcountry’s market, and then this passage has studied the effects to retailingformat structure, profitability and saturation by the input of foreigncapital based on related data.This passage is aimed to confirm the effect to our country’s mainretailing formats by the input of foreign capital, thereby, provides theoretic support for policy decision and some suggestions to enhance thecompetitiveness of domestic retailing companies.
