The Study On Company A’s Business Process Optimization

With the rapid growing of the Automotive Industry in China, there are many companies facing the challenge from their business process, which can not suit for the new environment. They are suffering on the "Big Company Sick", which showing as:more and more internal procedures; the efficiency of cross function team is getting worse;"department benefit" is getting more priority. These make the companies losing their enterprise vitality."Business process optimization" is the improvement from company inside to fit the outside environment and challenge. Considering about the problems they are facing,"business process optimization" is studied by more and more local companies. But when we check the history, it is not100%companies got the success from "business process optimization". What is the direction for the changing? What is the theory evidence? How to measure that? These questions are the keys for the success or failure!Company A, who is running business at automotive components manufacturing, has a very fast growth history, and he is facing the same challenge from the internal business process issue. This paper’s study objective is just company A’s internal process flow optimization. After the study of related principle and the detail analysis to company A, this paper mentions that the efficiency of information flow process, which is the key of the process flow, can be used as the key parameter to identify the feasibility of the business process optimization.In the detail practice, there are3important business section flow be selected, which make the biggest confliction and which influencing the company’s competitiveness. These3flows are:new product costing and quotation, new product development and project realization, new product design&development through customer requirement.Focus on these3working flow, when we compare the original business working flow and the target working flow-product management, we got the confirmation of the feasibility. Meanwhile, using this as the guidance, we got a lot of valuable advices for the detail implementation. Currently, company A’s business flow optimization has been implement to a deep phase, and this theory is getting more and more accepted by the company.
