Nowadays the wood industry is developing rapidly and it gradually entered the stage of stable development. The wood enterprises are gradually facing more fiercely market competition. In this environment, it attracts more attention than before to raise the employee’s performance for the enterprises. In the case of wood industry, the private enterprises still have several problems in employee’s performance evaluation, for example some private enterprises are in lack of systematic recognizes for performance evaluation; the managers often ignore communication with the employees; some incentives are not used properly and so on.This paper tries to research JiaYang Company and analysis its organization, human resource and performance evaluation. We will find some problems in the performance evaluation and explore the reasons for these problems. After this we use modern performance evaluation theories to re-standardize and redesign a performance evaluation system fit for the company itself and the outer environment. We use KPI method to properly decomposition the employees’evaluation index of the company and develop the weight of index and assessment criteria based on the principle of SMART. Then the paper raises a set of feasible implementation measures and makes the evaluation cycle and the rules to use evaluation results. Finally in order to have a smooth and effective implementation of the new performance evaluation system, we present a series of safeguard measures.This paper mainly researches the JiaYang Company’s performance evaluation system and designs a feasible new one. However we still how the research result can provide a reference and reference value to other wood private companies.
