Case Study Based On The Management Strategies Of Energy Conservation Of X Petrochemical Company

With the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization in China, the environmental and resource are running down. Industry is a main consumer of energy in China. Petrochemical industry, as an important part of energy consumer, usually has the characters of high energy consumption and emission. There is a large gap in energy saving of petrochemical between China and developed countries. So the petrochemical enterprises should reinforce the energy management and energy saving technology. These thus help the companies achieve higher economic benefit and the object of The12th Five-Year Plan in China.X petrochemical company is a large scale company, which has plenty of design margins and the material/energy consumption are relative high. X petrochemical company has putted a lot of effort in energy and material saving and improved much in the past decade. To analyze the energy management of X petrochemical company will not only a benefit to improve the energy management in X company but also a share-learning for other similar company.This paper with combine qualitative analysis and case analysis, theoretical research and countermeasure study, systemically study the Enterprise energy management, Sustainable development and Industry energy conservation. This thesis to investigate the actual situation of management in X petrochemical company, by using the knowledge of energy management and other related management theory in systematic analysis, point out the issues in existing energy management. The thesis also investigated the root cause of those issues from aspects of management system, energy structure, energy technology application, the implementation of energy saving projects, reliability and employee’s awareness, and raised countermeasure from the aspects of technique and management in energy conservation management through used advanced energy management theories. The key take away from this thesis would be a good understand to the energy management, a critical case to deep analyze and improve the energy management of enterprise. By analyzing the management of energy saving, will be capable to enhance the management, set up an effective energy management mode of petrochemical industry, and reduce the management gap between current situation and the objective, which will consequently improve the core competitiveness of the company.
