| Technology innovation capacity is the fundamental of production and thepower of sustainable development. There are two ways to enhance the technologyinnovation capacity of enterprises, either relying on self-innovation through internalinnovation resources or relying on imitative and cooperative innovation throughacquisition, integration and utility of external innovative resources. Self-innovationis affected by the long technological accumulation cycle, therefore relying onexternal knowledge resources is a more efficient way to enhance the technologyinnovation capacity. Multinational company, which is an important carrier ofknowledge cross-border transfer, is an important external innovative resource, buthow to absorb and internalize the external resource is a key problem for managers ofenterprises especially on condition that the external resource is fully flowed.On the basis of multinational theory, knowledge transfer theory, absorptivecapacity theory and technology innovation theory, conceptual model ofmultinational knowledge transfer affecting on technology innovation capacity inenterprises has been constructed. After the acting mechanism among multinationalknowledge transfer, absorbency and technology innovation capacity in enterprises isanalyzed, the related hypothesis has been proposed. Through structural equationmodel, test the theoretical model and assumptions made, discuss the assumptionresults, and reveal the theoretical and practical value.With in-depth study of achievements created by domestic and foreign scholars,this article will definite and measure on multinational explicit and implicitknowledge transfer, absorbency and technology innovation capacity in enterprises,design questionnaires, and collect empirical research data through researches withinenterprises. Carry on analysis on the data using software SPSS20.0and AMOS20.0,and then make discussions on the results. The results of empirical test indicate that,of the five hypothesis, four has passed, while one have not. Regarding to thehypothesis which have passed, we discuss their significance, to the ones having notpassed, we analyze its causes. At last, we carry on a thorough analysis frompromoting multinational knowledge transfer, improving absorbency in enterprises,establishing personnel recruitment system, and implementing the model ofintroduction-absorption-innovation.By the empirical study, I adopt the basic conclusion: multinational explicit knowledge transfer not only have a direct positive effect on the absorptive capacityand technology innovation capacity but also have an indirect positive effect on thelatter through absorptive capacity as the intermediary variable. Absorptive capacityhas a positive effect on the technology innovation capacity and the effect is thedeepest among all the direct effect paths. Multinational implicit knowledge transferhas a direct effect on the absorptive capacity and the effect is deeper than thefunction between multinational explicit knowledge transfer and absorptive capacity.Multinational implicit knowledge transfer doesn’t have a direct effect on thetechnology innovation capacity but it has an indirect effect on technology innovationcapacity through absorptive capacity as the intermediary variable. |
