The economy in China since the reform and opening up has been maintained a higher growth rate, total economic output improve continuously, the nominal GDP has been more than Japan in2010, as the world’s second largest economy second only to the United States, but the speed of the worker wage growth is behind the rate of economic growth. Since1978workers’ total wages of GDP has been declining, and comparing to the market economy countries also have a large gap. The problem of workers’ wage growth system has been paid more government and people’s attention.This paper took Marx wage theory as the guide, and analyzed the western classic wage theory which has been more than200years, with China’s salary system reform process and the related literature review, established four index:CPI, human capital, labor productivity and employment. Then using30regions and16years of panel data, established PVAR related for the empirical analysis, and the results show that: western wage theory match our economy situation; however, because of China’s market economic system is not sound and other system, the influence of the factors of economic indicators of the salary increase extent is not very strong. This shows that our country’s current salary increase mechanism remains to be further perfect, should further strengthen market in the regulation of the role of the distribution of wages.In view of the low wages in China as well as the theory and empirical analysis results, this paper puts forward with market economy, we should pay Marxism theory as the guidance, give full play to the role of market regulation, base on the proper role of government’s macro-control role, and gradually establish socialism market wage growth mechanism, we should formulate the minimum wage standard, establish CPI and wage linkage mechanism, strengthen the laborer skills training, improve their level of human capital, and perfect the relevant laws and regulations, and give full play to the role of the market in resource allocation, establish and perfect the salary collective bargaining system, and raise their negotiation skills, make our country’s salary increase mechanism gradually scientific developing track.
