The Research On Industrial Transformation Of Tangshan Resource-based City

Tangshan is a resource-based city which is formed on the coal and iron mines. The development of Tangshan city is closely linked with the resources. So the leading industries of Tangshan are resource-based industries. However, the resource-based industries developed periodically with the exploitation of nature resource. When the resource-based city developed to the mid-late period, it would face to many problems, such as resource exhaustion, ecological environment deterioration, unreasonable industrial structure and unemployment. In order to avoid the city declining, industrial structure transformation is imperative for Tangshan city.A systematic and scientific study is necessary for the successful industrial structure transformation of Tangshan city. Firstly, this paper analyzed the theories of industrial structure transformation at home and abroad, in order to fully understanding of industrial transformation’s connotation and model. Then successful experiments of transformation at home and abroad were referred, lessons were summarized either. Meanwhile, in order to choose suitable transformation model, present situation and problems of Tangshan industries were investigated and compared with other resource-based city’s successful transformation. An evaluation index system of industrial transformation was constructed to make the transformation model more scientific and reasonable. Twelve representative parameters were included in this valuation index system. On the basis of factor analysis, the average comprehensive scores of industries in Tangshan were got, therefore, compound model was considered as the most scientific transformation model. Finally, extension of industrial chain in the leading industries and development of continuous industry were discussed, this made our study not only having theoretical significance, but also maneuverability.
