Research On The Relationship Between Rural Education And Farmer’s Income In Anhui Province

The three-dimensional rural problem is a general problem in the economic development of every country,Farmers’ income problem is the core and key of the three-dimensional rural problem.The level of human capital is an important factor that affects farmers’ income growth.Human capital investment determines human capital accumulation,and the accumulation of human capital determines the speed of the farmers’ income growth. This article analysis the rural education influence of farmers’ income in Anhui province from the point view of human capital.The main contents of this paper are the following three aspects:first of all,the description of rural education development of Anhui province,mainly from development and investment;second,analysis on sources and level of farmers’ income in Anhui province,from transverse and longitudinal;third, analysis the rural education impact of farmers’ income in Anhui province from theoretical and demonstration.This paper takes education years of farmers, income of farmers financial expenditure on education, family operating income of farmers and wage income of farmers as variables for empirical analysis, uses time series data of the Anhui province from1993to2009.The results showed that:(1)Education years of farmers have a significantly positive effect on increase of income of farmers,family operating income of farmers and wage income of farmers, and the effect on wage income of farmers is bigger than others;(2)Financial expenditure on education have a positive effect on increase of income of farmers,but regression coefficient is very small,its shows that effect of financial expenditure on education on increase of income of farmers is limited.According to the results of the analysis, proposed some policy recommendations to improve the level of rural human capital in Anhui province such as increase the investment of government on rural education,ensure the balanced development of all levels of rural education,improve the quality of rural region’s teachers,promote the conditions of rural region’s school and so on.
