Currently as economy globalization in the world, the information&technologies greatly improvement products’life cycle becomes shorter and shorter,the market has been triggered by customers,instead of previous suppliers,each companies have focused on customers’ request.Traditional,simple logistic such as distribution network and warehousing could not catch up with the business development any more, and an era of supply chain&logistic has started from now on. The competition between enterprises has become stronger and stronger, not only in marketing, products, but extend to cost control and supply chain, which arouse more and more enterprise to take serious account on the supply chain optimization and improvement, in order to get the saving from it and increase return of investment.In this study, we cite current supply chain management theories, learning that supply chain is exactly one chain, which through end user, distributors distribution centre, vendors, plants, suppliers etc different absolute enterprise parts providing demand planning inventory planning, procurement, manufacture, warehouse, delivery service, to turn customers’ order to cash at the end. This study focuses on one of the vital use of management concept in supply chain&logistic context, namely planning management. Planning working as one flag, leading the whole supply chain to the right direction, all information related to supply chain management through planning management is apparently converted as forecast plan, finished goods plan, production,procurement, smooth all stages in supply chain and reduce waste in capacity, raw material,etc, and increase efficiency between each stages and improve customer satisfaction.The distribution center in HK of S company has met serious difficulty during its scope change due to global finance recession, such as organization issue, no responsibility in each department, no key performance indicator.In the theme, digging in the roots cause, we have provided relevant improvement solutions:reorganize, setup process and define KPI by department. At mean time, the implement plan has been fixed and the achievements have been proved in KPI. In this case definitely it proves the planning is one of most critical topic in supply chain&logistic.
