Wenzhou of Zhejiang province is one of the coastal cities. The economic of Wenzhou is good.The life of Wenzhou is relatively high level. While several food safety events happened at here.This paper writes from the government perspective in the food safety management. The authorinvestigated the situation of food safety and satisfaction in Wenzhou City, analysis the situation offood safety, and analysis the responsibility of government at food safety management. The paperpresents several management measures about food safety.The results of Sampling and survey shows that many food undated product and lessaddressed factory. The people don’t satisfy with the food; especially no satisfy with aquaticproducts and oil for food. The reason is that there have so much hidden troubles in the production,processing, packaging and marketing. The supervision is lack. The opinion of the author is that thegovernment had inescapable responsibility of Wenzhou food safety problem. The reason includesthe structural defects of the structure of food safety supervision organization about Wenzhou;includes multiple sectors of the links of supervision makes the cooperation and division of laborcost; the Wenzhou municipal food safety monitoring implementation does not reach thedesignated position, at the same time, food safety detection of too dependent on government.Aiming at the existing problem of government responsibility, put forward Wenzhou city hall toimprove food safety management countermeasures: one is to improve the Wenzhou city hall to thefood safety regulatory structure, such as a pair of existing food safety supervision department tomake the appropriate adjustments; establish authoritative coordination mechanism; explicittop-down government food safety management responsibility; two perfecting the regulation offood safety of local laws and regulations, including the perfection of relevant local laws andregulations, strengthen food safety aspects of the Criminal Justice degree; finally the perfectWenzhou city food safety regulatory system, including perfecting the food safety standards,perfect the market admittance system, strengthen food terminal consumption before testing,implementing public food safety information system, set up a food source tracking mechanism,strengthen food safety social participation.
