Empirical Research On Operating And Performance Of Basic Agro-Technical Station

The primary task of grass-root agricultural technology extension station is to promote and popularize the agricultural technology and new agricultural production to farmers, which can not only give full play to the role of agri-tech station, but also facilitate the application of the station and increase farmers’income. Therefore, to strengthen researches on grass-root agricultural technology extension station status and functions of the re-orientation has both great theoretical value and practical significance.On the basis of definition of the basic agro-technical station and agricultural extension, and the results of interviews and questionnaires finished by167grass-root agro-technicians in Jiangxi Province, Zhejiang Province and other regions, this paper reveals the development of the basic agro-technical station in recent years as well as the existing status of agricultural technological extension in our country. Then, this paper makes a repositioning on the function of the basic agro-technical station from a perspective of historic and economic development, as well as analyzes the restrictive factors on the working performance of the basic agro-technical station. At last, this paper proposes some policies and recommendations on the improvement of its working performance.
