Lanzhou petrochemical company as the biggest refining enterprise in western China occupies an important position in China’s petrochemical industry. The normal and smooth operation of its refining plants is related to the realization of the objective of benefit maximization and the embodiment of the social value. To ensure the realization of its operation target, as the source of production, material purchasement and management work must be effective and innovate continually.Supplier management is an important part of material purchasing management, so the quality of supplier management has a direct impact on the reduction of logistics cost. According to the supplier management present situation, we involve the suppliers into the enterprise operation system as the organic part of the enterprise based on the ERP system. This paper applies the ERP system theory, supply chain management theory into the research of of supplier basic information management, supplier access, supplier performance evaluation, supplier classification management, and strategic cooperation with suppliers, etc. Meanwhile, it designs the supplier management system and at the same time standardizes supplier management procedure based on ERP system and calrify ERP system supplier management function setting and border demarcation. According to the supplier evaluation work, the paper puts forward the supplier evaluation index and supplier annual performance evaluation index in the process of supplier access management, which means cooperating strategically with excellent supplier chosen according to the evaluation of suppliers and supplier classification management on the basis of classification management. In the aspects of organization management and system security, this paper puts forward the relevant measures of supplier management system of Lanzhou petrochemical company.The measures of introducing the idea of supply chain management into the purchasing management Lanzhou Petrochemical company, strengthening the supplier management in combintion with ERP system, will significantly reduce inventory and material reserve funds, improve turnover of materials, reduce the purchasing cost,improve the management and product quality, save a lot of cost, and finally promote the enterprise profit margin level, reduce the management risk of the enterprise, enhance the international competitiveness of companies and improve the benefit of enterprises and overall image.
