In the international market competition, product life cycles are getting shorter, the market requirements for product quality, price and service is also increasing. The competition between enterprises is no longer a competition between enterprises, but increasingly become a competition between supply chain and supply chain. In the increasing competitive market environment, corporate procurement management is put forward for higher requirements. As the source of supply chain procurement, suppliers build a bridge between manufacturing enterprises and suppliers. Strengthening supplier management to improve the reliability and flexibility of its supply, reduce procurement costs and shorten delivery cycles, can contribute greatly to the operational efficiency of enterprises, and be good to the establish of an efficient, stable supply chain, it has become the key aspect of company competitive advantage.Since China’s reform and opening up last century, more and more foreign-funded enterprises started to set up factories and procurement in China. The linkages of foreign-funded enterprises and their local supply chain upstream and downstream enterprises especially the suppliers are increasingly closely. Strengthen supplier management, maintain a good relation with suppliers has become an important part of foreign-funded enterprises’ development strategy in China.This paper uses an approach of case study, the Sino-Japanese joint venture company Dalian Sanyo Cold Chain Co.,LTD (hereinafter referred to as "Sanyo Cold Chain") as the research object, describe the problem from the aspects of planning and coordination, strategic cooperation and market competitive pressures. According to the theory of supply chain management and the other related theory, analyze and discuss Sanyo Cold Chain’s supplier management problems in detail.Aimed at the problems Sanyo Cold Chain faced with, combined with analysis of the case study, this paper puts forward three suggestions:optimization the plan and coordination mechanism, improve supplier strategic cooperation mechanism, build the advantage of cost competitive.
