After the end of the cold war, peace and development have become the theme ofthe times. As the collapse of the bipolar pattern, the international situation has enteredinto a competitive coexistence period between the economic globalization and multi--polarization.In the new international situation, from the political, economic, regionalsecurity and cultural perspective,the accession to the European Union and the reunifi--cation of Europe is the optimal choice for the Central and Eastern European countriesto enhance their strength, more in line with the trend of history.In May2004, eight countries, including Hungary,Poland, the Czech Republic,Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania in Eastern Europe, joined the EU form--ally, as well as two Mediterranean Countries-Malta and Cyprus. Romania and Bulg--aria became the EU members officially in2007.Euopean Union is the largest regional economic and political intergration organi--zation in the world.The accession of Central and Eastern European countries, wouldbe a win-win situation for the old and new members. There is a big gap between oldand new members on the level of economic development,and there is large complem--entary in trade structures between Eastern European countries and EU-15countries.Therefore, to join the European Union will have a certain impact on trade, economicdevelopment and material welfare effect of the central and Eastern European countries.In addition,the new members have the Similar level of economic development andSimilar export products structure with us, their product substitution to our country ishigh, our some trades in EU market will be replaced by them.Therefore, for bothcentral and East European countries and China,the studies in trade effects of EasternEuropean countries on the EU accession and its effect on China-EU trade, have theimportant theory value and the practical significance.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction,it mainlydescribes the project’s background, the subject’s significance, the research status, tthe thesis framework and research methodology;The second chapter discusses theinternational background and motivation, membership conditions,as well as the proc- -ess of accession; The third chapter discusses the generation mechanism of the tradeeffects under the economic integration and its measurement model and methods; Inthe fourth chapter,it firstly analyzes the dynamic trade,effects,using some dataindicators tools,such as Trade proportion and trade structure,And then,it analyzes thetrade creation and trade diversion effects empirically,using the the Balassa measure--ment mode;The fifth chapter discusses the Eastern European countries’s EUAccession influence on China-EU trade,and puts forward policy recommendations.
