However, there are few scholars dedicating to collegeteachers in the field of the effect mechanism of career success. Moreover, existingresearch is mainly focused on from individual, society, family and organization fouraspects of research on the influence factors of career success. Even little studies isdone to investigate factors affecting female teachers’ career success from theperspective of career calling-in the field of the heart level. And tryto verify whether career commitment could be a mediating role between career callingand career success. For this, we firstly do the related theoretical literature review: Oates, Hall andAnderson (2005) through the the research of the32college female professor usingsemi-structured interviews and grounded theory, found that professional womenregard calling as a firm faith, the women with strong sense of calling have strongercommitment (Dobrow2007; Oates,2008), work enthusiasm, the sense of identity andconsciousness is higher, sense of meaning and self-esteem are also stronger (Dobrow, 2002), so they tend to make more salary, to obtain or seek to acquire more education, occupy a higher position and prestige (Duffy and Sedlacek,2010; Wrzesniewski, etc.,1997), and more subjective well-being and career satisfaction (Duffy, Dik and Steger,2011).Through literature review, this study proposes the following hypothesis:Careercalling of the college female teachers has a positive effect on career success; Careercalling of the college female teachers has a positive effect on career commitment;Career commitment of the college female teachers has a positive effect on careersuccess; Career commitment of the college female teachers has a mediating rolebetween career calling and career success. This study used questionnaires for data collection, and through the SPSS18.0software for data analysis and processing, to test the proposed models andhypothesizes, finally got the following conclusion:(1) Career calling has a positive impact on the various dimensions of careersuccess;(2) Career commitment has a positive impact on the various dimensions of careersuccess;(3) Career calling has a positive impact on the career commitment;(4) Career commitment partial plays the intermediary role between Careercalling and career success.According to the above conclusions, this paper puts forward the correspondingmanagement proposals in terms of hiring and training female teachers.
